Groove-based funky instrumentals accompanied with pessimistic vocal samples taken from movies consist the debut album of The Last Humanist(composer/multi-instrumentalist). Release date 20-11-2020. The dark side of the funk, as melancholic funky tunes blended with bluesy ,jazzy guitar, organ, saxophone and trumpet solos.
Based in Thessaloniki Greece where at the early 2010s there was a booming Reggae,Dub,Funk scene that influenced The Last Humanists style.
The Last Humanist team up with friends to create raw instrumental funk music. Chris Lemonis(Dub Adventure), Ilias Mpaglanis(Dub Adventure, Giannis Aggelakas), Marc Osterer(Parov Stellar), Gary Alesbrook(Kasabian), Yuron Fuchs(Mixing) and Thomas Juth(Mixing) are amongst the musicians that contributed to the record.
